Winters has started and everyone started feeling dryness in skin. All the charm and glow vanish with winters. What should be our skin care routine in winters so one can feel the glowing and super soft skin. Here i am going to share some easy home made techniques which can make your skin soft and glowing despite winters. If you feeling harshness in your skin, Do not worry. Just do simple steps with home substances and get softness like flowers in minutes. You can say All in one solution, Spa, Manicure, Pedicure etc gonna be done in one step. 

So here we go!


  • Cleansing: Take luke warm water and add any mild shampoo or body was in it. Dip your skin (hand and leg) for 30 minutes. Rub gently with cotton cloth or sponge or puff. When all the dirt remove change the water. Now again take warm water and add few drops of lavender oil or olive oil. Dip your skin for few minutes till it get normal.

  • Massage: Take any body lotion or winter care lotion or cream and massage at least half an hour. Fresh milk or cream also can be taken for best results. But remember don't ever use fairness cream or any other chemical based creams. Always prefer mild cold creams for massage. 

  • Scrub: Well! This is the magic. When you use scrub after cream massage you will get rid over dead skin cells. Because of massage dead skin cells leave their base easily and leave out with scrub. So use scrub. You can also use home made scrub of orange peel powder or gram flour powder or any pulses powder for it. Otherwise ready-made market scrubs are available. But remember you need oil free non sticky scrubs. 

  • Gel Massage: Now take gel based massage cream or you can also take any fruit pulp for massage. This fruitful massage will give your skin gentle lively touch after scrubbing. For Nourishment and lost oil this step is necessary so please do not avoid gel massaging. If you are using fruit then go with papaya or banana. Mix little bit amount of honey for best results. 


  • Pack: Use any face pack or you can use home made pack for relaxing. Take Two tsp of Fuller earth powder(Multani mitti) and mix with sandal wood powder, Mix with rose water and make fine paste. Apply over skin for 30 minutes or till it get dry. Spray water or milk and again remain for 10-15 minutes then rinse it off. 

  • Moisturise: Now at last give a warm and lovely touch to your skin. Apply any moisturiser or night cream and leave for 8 hr. For best results leave for whole night.
